The Leiden Lions Hockey Club has found a dedicated main sponsor in Decos.“The sport has much in common with our company philosophy, in fact,” claims Bert Hendriks, Director of Business Development. “It is an international sport that is played in numerous countries. At the same time, ice skating is also a typically Dutch activity, for which I have a personal weakness. I also feel it is important for people, particularly children, to engage in sports, not only for the health benefits, but also to learn about team spirit and cooperation. That is something that is not only important in sports, but also in our work.” Decos also has a personal connection with the club, as the children of several employees play ice hockey here.
Four senior teams compete in the Hockey Club in Leiden, from the second division to the recreational level. The Leiden Lions also has two junior teams and a professional hockey school and regularly organizes activities for schools. Together with Decos, the new board is dedicated to professionalizing the Leiden Lions and expanding the club significantly. The club is very enthusiastic about the direction that is now being taken:
