The keywords 'a good atmosphere', 'team spirit' and 'drive' are key elements in the sponsoring of the Noordwijk Novo volley-ball club. The club is an active association with almost 200 members, playing at various levels, from the third to the fifth division, from young to old and for competitive and recreational reasons.

Novo does not just focus on regular indoor volleyball activities. For example, each summer the club organizes a large-scale beach volleyball tournament, it is the driving force behind the Star Balm beach run and for a few years now it has also breathed new life into the Noordwijk 'Avondvierdaagse' four-day walking event.

The main sponsorship of this active association therefore fits in very well with Decos. “Novo and Decos fit very well together,” according to Paul Veger, director of Decos. "Just like Decos, Novo is a closely-knit club of enthusiastic people. Moreover, our ambitions match each other very well: we are professional, leading and progressive."

 In addition, a lively interaction has developed between the association and Decos: in recent years, many new employees have been recruited from Novo, making the club an important source of new employees. Going the other way, the volleyball-playing Decos staff have also attracted a number of non-volleyball players to the Noordwijk association.

Beach volleyball tournament

In addition to being the main sponsor of the club, Decos sponsors the annual Noordwijk beach volleyball tournament. In 2009, this event took place on June 27th on Noordwijk beach. Over 100 volleyball teams - more than 350 people - enjoyed the day and made the tournament a big success!

As well as a large-scale volleyball tournament, plenty of other activities were organized to make sure that it was also an enjoyable event for non-volleyball players. A large bossaball field, children's entertainment, a professional clinic and a barbecue and party with live music, for example, made sure there was plenty of fun for all.

The event was also very successful for Decos. According to the director Paul Veger: “The organization came up with a very professional event, where I was pleased to meet my customers and business contacts. Next year we hope to have an even bigger Decos competition!”
